All Lawyer Assistance Program LAP services are confidential, (and protected under Section 499 of the Judiciary Law as amended by Chapter 327 of the Laws of 1993) voluntary, free and include:
- Early detection of the problem or impairment.
- Helping attorneys seek help.
- Assessing, evaluating and an indivudualized treatment plan based on your specific needs.
- Referral to helpful resources such as self help groups, counseling professionals, community resources, self-help groups, chemical dependency treatment, detoxification, substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation programs.
- Helpful resources and referrals for depression.
- Training programs on substance/drug abuse, alcoholism, and stress management.
